HELP What color am I?

Hi I'm doing dakota's registration and want to make sure I put the right color! I did see and read the old post here on color. Base on that I think she is Fawn Smut. Would just like other opinions please. what do you think

I wish I had seen this post earlier so I could have provided you with the correct color and AKC code for your Bull Terrier. Your Bullie is gorgeous. She's actually a Red Smut. As puppies a Red will be lighter and may fool you into thinking it's a Fawn but as they grow and mature their fur becomes darker. If you conduct a DNA on your Bullie you will see the Red chromosome not the fawn. It's not too often you see fawn Bull Terriers and they are sometimes considered an unwelcomed color within the breed especially for those that wish to show their dog. Most people that don't know too much about Bull Terrier color will assume a Red is a Fawn because the color fawn is used often with other breeds that have the similar color tone as a Red Bull Terrier. French Bull Dogs are a good example of this.
A true fawn Bull Terrier has a very light colored fur that appears as a dull red. I seen a few of them over the years but the Reds are far more predominant.

Yes, names and information can be changed through AKC but to be honest it's not a very big deal unless you plan on showing or breeding her.

Don't plan on showing or breeding, just plan on doing some sports.

Well if that's the case don't worry over it. Many people have done the same thing because the color looks fawn due to it being a lighter tone when they are young and register them.
