New member, here's my EBT!

Hello!

New member here, here's my bull terrier Arthur! Hes a week away from 7 months old and weighing in at 41 lbs. Any idea what his max weight could be?

If I had to guess, and that is all you can do, is 50 to 60 lbs. The only real way to get a great estimate is from the Sire and Dame. Genetics is the key to this answer.

From what I was told by the breeder they were both in the 60 lb range. He just seems small compared to some other EBTs I have seen

Welcome Arthur. We hope to hear your milestones amongst this group as you mature every day and the smiles you create for your family. I give up on scales and concentrate on what you can see regarding healthy weight and structure. Love your boy the way he is and don’t worry about what’s out there and what you’ve seen. Arthur is yours and you’ll love him dearly however he develops :)

A Bull Terrier will keep on growing until about 2 years old. Of course they slow down around 1 year, but they will mature until 2ish. Arthur looks great. He will fill out and start looking less lanky in about 6 months. They are all a little different, but all loveable.

Thank you for the replies! I absolutely love him and he's a great dog. I was just concerned because the breeder could not provide much info in terms of final size. He was so small when I got him that I was thinking he was a miniature and not a standard like the breeder stated he was

That is a common thought. Chances are, you got a standard. It never hurts to ask questions. That's how we learn.

McKenzie was the biggest of her litter, 15lbs at 10 weeks. Now she is 3yrs and averages 60lbs. Her late sister Murphy was 55lbs. Both standard but from completely different parents and locations that they were born. One from Mexico and the other from Pennsylvania. Both of them had a lot of the same traits and behaviors. But McKenzie loves to be outside, take walks, fetch toys and balls. Murphy was the lazy, laid back type. Both love a good car ride and can't tell the difference between a ride to the end of the driveway or a road trip. lol
