AKC Breeders website is NOT where you want to look for a reputable breeder. The breeders listed on AKC's breeder website are those that are paying AKC to advertise for them. AKC doesn't care what kind of breeder they are and they know nothing about them or the health and quality of the puppies they produce. The wide majority of breeders advertising on AKC's Breeder page are Backyard Breeders and Puppymills. Reality is, reputable breeders don't need to pay for 3rd party advertisements in hopes of finding people to purchase their puppies.
