Whining/yelping when pooping?

Hi all! We have a lovely miniature bull terrier called Lily https://fello.pet/en/dog-breeds/miniature-bull-terrier/. About four times over the past two weeks or so I have heard or seen Lily whining or yelping while having a bowel movement. She has had completely normal bowel movements with no pain during this time, but I'm troubled by the yelping as I know bull terriers have high pain tolerances (so something must be up). I made an appointment for next Tuesday (I anticipate a long appointment and can't get off work until then) but I wanted to see if any of you had heard of this or experienced this to see if there are any tips I can try in the meantime.

I am sorry to hear that your Lily has been having those troubles pooping. Please fill us in on what you may find out at the vet visit. My guess would start with foreign objects in stool or extra firm stool. It could even be something on the ground poking her in the butt or maybe a joint problem that is stressed while pooping. I for one am interested in what it could be. All the best of luck.

Sorry to the little one is having a potty issue. Hope it's not serious and can be remedied after the vet's exam.

On a lighter note, it reminded me of Howie Mandel's skits when he first started in show biz. He mimicked a child always crying when he pottied. When parent asked why he was crying, the child's replied,
