Saturday we went to the Dog park & there were a few dogs there a little bigger then her. She gets a lil overwhelmed from all the attention (lol). She kept hiding, but not running to me for help. No pics.... How's Moose's paw's?
Scarlett will work out the big pooches in time. I loved seeing my boys play with a Great Dane the other week. Amazing how delicate they can be and my boys play really well with puppies and small dogs too. I am lucky they have a good temperament but I’ve seen Moose not get along with a couple and vice versa, so watch watch watch is always the key.
Memphis is seven months and 18kg gotta do the conversion and moose is near the 25kg.
His foot is a lot better as I’m using the colloidal silver orally and topically but the limp still surfaces so I’m being patient. More of a concern is the spasms (epilepsy) if I can call it that (undiagnosed) comes periodically and is a real worry. I still have to investigate this just keeping a record for the vet but am not hopeful they will diagnose anything. Doing a lot of reading up, sad stories and watching videos is heart breaking but Moose doesn’t have full blown shaking or anything, mild aura type onset but none the less it’s a worry.
It is always after excitement and exercise, when we’re having a ball and then WTF my poor boy struggles. Sorry for the lengthy reply and language but what I can say he is lucky to have me to love and care for him through these challenging health concerns. We’ll get there Dan
Enjoy your growing girl!
immediately . Scared the SH*T out of me! Thank God it was nothing. My heart goes out to Moose every time I read that he has a slight problem. I hope he out grows it! Dan
Oh Dan the times you worry I understand.
I don’t know if you have kids but it’s very similar the worrying with love especially when they’re young and you want to protect but you have to let them be dogs also, just stay close. Others actually witnessed Moose having a turn on the beach so I’m not seeing things, they too recognised the change and concern. My boys are very liked and stand out amongst the dog parade and most admire their presence some unsure
Also it’s hard to see what they gobble up on the beach too and then you worry that it wasn’t sinister and all will be ok. I can handle sticks but the seaweed gunk would carry a lot of dodgy crap. Can do without the vomit lol.
When they sprayed the ovals on the dog park I was concerned too especially with moose’ issues but washed him once I got home. We will always worry care and love our pooches.
And they give us so much in return
You should’ve seen Memphis try to wakeup Moose his bum and body so excited to find Moose flaked out upside down trying licking and shaking him but Moose was so buggered he didn’t move lol it was a sight. I’m sure he was worried coz Moose didn’t move an inch
They are such loving buddies, I’m lucky
The next thing I want to train McKenzie on is feeling comfortable in my woodshop. She just can't deal with all the noises. She gets to look at me through the baby gate and leave when she is ready. I can't see forcing her to be where she doesn't want to be. So, she circles the yard and comes back when the bad stuff is done. lol She must think I am a brave person, taming all the monsters.
Oh yes they do need reassurance Boomer, such emotional souls they have.
Gosh the noise and new items take patience I know (vacuum cleaner) but when they don’t like something they make you feel guilty if you leave them and I’m home 90% of the time, there’s always someone here.
It took me a long time with Moose getting used to the Highway as I live on this road and have to cross to get to the beach; and when the bikies ride pass you gotta keep a firm grip. I dread losing them on this major road as there’s no mercy if they get loose. Dogs panic. Memphis was a lot easier coz he had an older bro to guide him but holding them both is challenging.
I have moose’s snout breathing on me whilst writing Boomer, does McKenzie take over too? I’ve got two to share with my man also Share the love enjoy McKenzie
I love how we all are so in love with our fur babies and how much joy they bring us :x
They are all so precious
Send pic through love to see Billie again
Had a bad experience of over ‘randy’ with my boys this morning lol it all started off great, I could see them getting over excited with the little staffy but I was having a great social time with the owner and continued my walk along the beach with her - my mistake. It just got overwhelming for my boys and what a struggle to get home. We were both going in the same direction but the strength of my boys was a challenge. I didn’t have time to stay on the beach as I had to get back home but it’s my fault for not seeing the signs early on. I have to deviate alot earlier head in a different direction so to speak, to not encounter or encourage their excitement.
I was not happy with them once I got home
But they looked at me ‘what did we do, we had a ball’ They are very good boys at home, no getting into things around the house that doesn’t belong to them and I have a heap of things they could if they were naughty. I don’t move plants, toys washing etc. they know what toys are there’s but they do love a tea towel
I am still learning how to control them and their normal growth and milestones but gee I looked ridiculous today lol.
I’m told ‘get them fixed’ but this is a cop out not good control on my part I believe. Oh well I hope next time I will do better.
Enjoy McKenzie and thanks for sharing your experiences
Can he run off leash or are there too many people. Nice weather brings people . It’s Autumn here so great dog walkers/off leash and they get to play and swim contently.
Thanks for sharing
We will enjoy the many memories to come. I’m glad my Moose is turning a corner so to speak, with his allergy/health issues which you may have read. He’s finally gaining weight and is a much happier cheeky boy. This has been a priority for me to see him being a happy dog.
Keep posting pics of your boy, he is really impressive
They made a paper article too
