Nothing helping allergies!

My dad’s bull terrier has really bad allergies and we’ve been to multiple different vets and dermatologists but they can only seem to temporarily cure her. Her allergies cause bumps on her skin and they eventually get really itchy and infected. We’ve tried changing her food and shampoo and all the medications and sprays that vets have prescribed but they only help her get better for 2 or 3 weeks. Last picture was from when the medicine was working but it’s not anymore. I can’t find any dog who has this or anything similar, so if someone knows anything please help!

You need to have your Vet provide you a referral to a specialist that can conduct an extensive allergy test. This will identify all elements that have a negative effect on her. I would also suggest providing her a supplement that will help boost her immune system. All my Bull Terriers are on NuVet which is the best one I've ever used.

We have been experiencing the same with our three year old for the past two years. We're hoping for a little bit of a breakthrough/relief from using Ivory "free and clear" detergent on her bedding and toys in combination to completely soaking her in a finely ground organic oatmeal bath (2.5 cups) with a drop of Seventh Generation "free and clear" dish soap for at least 30 mins. Four days later the bumps have gone down significantly. We'll probably buy a medium size air purifier too considering this is what we are up against now. If we have to experiment we'll do it gently and as additive free as possible.

I suggest trying an alternate protein sourced food i.e. duck, venison ect. Most dog food allergies are to proteins and not the other ingredients in foods. ALL GROCERY BRAND FOODS HAVE CHICKEN AND OR BEEF IN SOME FORM EVEN WHEN THEY SAY THEY DON'T! Proper food trials should be done for a minimum of 8 weeks, feeding only the alternative food, no treats and NO table foods or bones/rawhide as these will interfere with the effectiveness of the trial. Zeus is my 5th white bully breed dog and after 17+ years in veterinary medicine my 6372782826628 experience with white bullies ????. Many of these guys have food allergies and sensitive tummies! I feed Zeus a salmon and green pea diet and it makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE! also, use a malaseb shampoo EOD for 1 week, then 2x weekly for 2 weeks, then 1x every 10 days until you're able to achieve clear skin, but do not use on his head. My bully is almost 13 and just started getting these about 2 months ago they are really getting bad. Vet has had us on antibiotics ,steroids, and now thyroid medication due to bloowdwork results.we started giving him a probiotic because of him being on all this. I really would like to find something that might help him. We have changed his food from grainfree salmon to grainfree lamb.
