Hi there! Question about ears and weight.

Hi everyone! I'm new here and I just wanted to say I LOVE this forum and it helped me a TON. Glad to be a member.
I have a bullterrier mix puppy - Mara. Her mother was pure bred and her father was bullterrier-APT mix. She's AMAZING! She's week away from being 5 months old.
EARS:
I was wondering about her ears since she's not pure bred. When I got her (she was 9 weeks old) they were all the way floppy, but I did not care. The time has passed and they started to rise. Oh how excited I was! This forum helped me so much with taping and so on. Thanks! Left ear was standing all the way up, right one about 3/4. Then teething happend and they went floppy :( So I taped them carefully following instruction fron this site and it worked! They are up! Until yesterday.. The right one is aaaaall the way up, but left one went floppy and she rises it only when she hears something or excited. Again.. She's hardcore teething at the moment. Should I worry about it and tape again? Or should I give it a rest and leave them alone?

WEIGHT:
I was looking for a proper chart on the internet but I cannot find one. I know that bullys weight differ a LOT! But I'm just curious... How much should female BT weight at 5 months old? Would LOVE to hear about you pups!!! She weights currently about 13 kg (26 lbs).

I attached 3 photos (one when she was really young and two more recent ones).

You're doing great with tape training the ears. She looks excellent. Sometimes it takes many attempts of tape training to be successful with it. Don't give though because in due time the ears with stand erect and strong and it will last forever.
Here's an article I wrote on the subject - https://bulliesofnc.com/tape-training-puppy-ears/

In regard to weight, it's impossible to provide a base line for a weight or height chart for any Bull Terrier because genetics play a huge part in growth. Some Bull Terriers may never reach average height/weight of Bull Terrier while another one may surpass the average within 8 months of age. The best thing you can do is just ensure your Bullie is being provided a healthy well balanced diet and plenty of exercise.

  • Thank you so much for your answer! Glad to hear that I did good with tape training. Especially from you as I mostly relied on your tips and guides. Thanks! Means a lot!
About weight.. yea, I thought so. I love my pup whatever the size she'll end up! As long as she's healthy and happy!
