[Help] Anyone know about Olmar Kennel breeder?

We are thinking to get a MBT puppy from this breeder called Olmar Kennel from Connecticut area.
Just wondering if anyone know if he is a good breeder? Or anyone has gotten a puppy from him before?

I've never heard of them but I think it's only because they breed Mini's and my focus is with Standards.

Half of their sires and dam bullies are LAD carriers. So question for @BulliesofNC - is it safe to to breed when one of the parents is a carrier?

Many Mini's are PLL "carriers." This doesn't mean that the dog has PLL or any form of health issue but that the dog has been tested and found to be a carrier. In order to eliminate this mutation from breeding lines and to avoid the potential of producing affected pups, breeding of known carriers is not recommended. Miniature bull terriers that do not have the mutation have no increased risk of having affected pups when bred to a dog that is also clear for this mutation.

They have 1 sire PLL clear/ LAD carrier (Lethal Acrodermatitis). Another sire is LAD clear/ PLL carrier. Their 3 dams are LAD carriers / PLL clear. I was just curious if it's ok to breed LAD carrier and non carrier, and what are the chances their litter will have health issues?

It is not recommended that breeding be conducted with any dog that is a carrier of any form of genetic disorder.

That is absolutely absurd the is the whole purpose of genetics and testing so that you dont breed 2 carriers itst oerfectly fine to brred clear to carrier your pups will be clleat or carrier but not be afflicted with the disease

If carrier and clear are bred no issue for on that genetic abnormality

@Nickctusa - You are sadly mistaken. I understand you are a breeder who is trying to support your ethics for breeding your dogs that are PLL Carriers but try to understand that there will be many people who will research this subject and conclude that breeding ANY dog that is a PLL Carrier will pose a risk of developing puppies who are PLL Carriers also. These dogs are at risk of luxating starting normally at the age of 4 years old.
Just because some breeders will gamble on breeding a Carrier to a non-carrier does not make it a good choice especially knowing that some of the puppies will be born with the genetic fault and possibly become Affected. In order to get rid of this nasty disorder breeders need to change their breeding ethics by ONLY breeding a non-carrier to a non-carrier. I realize there are some breeders who think their Mini BT is so good looking that they should be bred despite their genetic disorder but that will never help with the ongoing PLL disorder within the breed.
Any breeder that thinks breeding clear to clear is absurd is a breeder that truly has no concern about ending the disorder by breeding PLL out of the breed. Sadly, PLL will remain as genetic disorder associated with Mini BT's and other small Terrier breeds until breeders devote to breeding dogs that are free from genetic defect.
On a good note, there are breeders who are devoted to breeding "clear to clear" in order to produce healthy puppies that will not be PLL Carriers.

Additionally - There have been cases of a carrier dogs having a luxated lens. To think a PLL Carrier is free from future issues is absurd.
