Allergies or bug bites??
Hey everyone-
Our little Khaleesi is now 8 months old! We've noticed shes experienced allergies in the past (red eyes, little rash on her belly, sometimes itchy), but nothing like we've seen in the last few weeks! Benadryl always took care of her symptoms, but doesn't seem to help much now. Poor thing is covered in bumps (ears, face, lip, legs, bum and vagina area) and we don't if its allergies, bites, or something else. Took her to the vet this past weekend and they can't figure it out. Said it could be allergies or bites, but unsure. They did a scrape test, waiting to hear back. Gave her antibiotics in case of a secondary infection (some of the bumps she must scratch as they open and she wakes with dried blood on her ), eye drops (said her eyes seemed oozy) and this biohex mouse. She doesn't seem terribly bothered by the bumps, sometimes scratches, but otherwise acts normal. We haven't changed anything, same food/treats/shampoo/detergent. Not sure what it could be. She also just ended her first cycle, I don't know if that has anything to do with it??
It is the time of year for allergies and flies/mosquitoes/etc. And she spends a considerable amount of time outside being walked and played with by a friend who watches her while we are at work. So that's why we think bug bites?
We were told by our friend who used to breed EBT it could be "bully bumps"- allergies?
Has anyone ever seen this before.
Ps. These pics are a few days old. She seems to have more on her ears now! Ahh
