Prednisone 5mg (S4) and Ranceph 500 Capsules

South africa.
I need Help. Im in tears.
We got Zues from a breeder in South africa at 10 weeks. He is such a beautiful baby. Today he is a year and 5 months roughly. Never the less...
Since Zues was a baby we fed him emerald gold ( specifically for Bull terriers) but he has recently started itching allot... it cant be the grass because we had grass before. It started with a yeast infection in his ears. I now clean his ears weekly with an antiseptic.
The vet seems to think he has a yeast infection and is allergic to something. We have now changed his food to sciencenplan hills Z/D dog food.
Zues still has bumps (pimples) if i lower the dose of prednisone from 3 tabs twice daily to 1 tablet daily it flared up again.
Also if i lower the predisone his feet starts swelling between his toes. It looks like his toes are rubbing against each other.
His cushions underneath his paws are cracked and rough on both front feet only? Hind feet looks great.
We are also not walking anymore as we moved. Which is probably a good thing because his feet looks so sore.

Please let me know what you think.
Zues is such a calm beautiful dog and seem to like being indoors more than outdoors anyway... which is fine by me.
He only goes out for nr 1 and 2 and when i force him to be outside while i sit outside.
When his done pooping i spray it away into the grass. So it cant be that its nasty on the grass. The house is always sparkling clean so it cant be from anything in the house causing this.
I also bath him with a sensative dog shampoo about once montly..
I have not changed routine .. i dont know whats going on.
These are the photos of this morning.

We had the same problem with our Bullies front paws.
We tried all the foot soaks and antibiotics, steroids etc.... to no avail.
My wife ended up trying athletes foot powder. There was a significant improvement within days.
Athletes foot powder works for us. It is anti fungal, stops the itch, keeps the area dry and allows it to heal, twice a day, then daily to stop it from recurring.
Im curious. Does your baby have a skin allergy? If zues is not on his cortisone tablets he gets bumps on his skin. We have changed his food about 2 weeks ago. What does your BT eat daily? No difference with his current diet. Im just curious to know if you might have the same problem.
I dont want to keep him on the cortisone because long term it can cause cancer, and i definitely do not want that.
And with zues being all white its also a concern.
Let me know if possible.
Thank you again.

Have a blessed week. And thank you for the prayers.
He eats turkey or crocodile meat. If i feed him red meat, chicken or dry food he usually has a breakout of little bumps or a rash. I used to feed him raw meat and he was good for a while, until he got salmonella poisoning.
Lots of trial and error but it looks like we have got things under control.
Oh, btw....Try to dry your dogs feet between his paws thoroughly every time that they have been wet. I know it's a pain in the ass but the benefits are worth it.
My thoughts for you are to look into alternative treatments. Drying his feet is a good first step. The foot powder is another great idea.
I do truly hope you find a suitable substitute. I assure you, prednisone is not the answer. I watched my girl swell up like a balloon and within a year whither away to nothing. I pray for your little boy. Please understand that I don't mean to scare you, I just would never want to see anyone have to see what I did. God bless.
