Have you tried some gelatine in the food for a while combined with the taping?
But on a side note: He's a beautiful boy, seriously! What does it matter if his ears are up or not unless you are planning on him being a show dog? Even if you really do not manage to get his ears up eventually he will still be an awesome and lovable pet! Just make sure he's not starting to use his floppy ears "as an excuse" for not listening to your commands.
We have started the gelatine but is that every day or how does that work? And thank you so much for the compliment on my dog. And yes we will love him even if his ears don't stand up. It just compliments his face.
Yes, you can add it daily for at least 4-6 weeks to the dog's nutrition. Some people take it forever for nails and hair. One teaspoon/ day is recommended for the dog if you use powder (Knox, for example). Gelatin is a Protein obtained from animal parts. So don't worry, it is practically impossible to overfeed this. There are no side effects other than upset stomach in some individuals with a sensitive digestive system. I would still not yet skip the taping. Just watch Steve's link and see if there is any room for improvement in what you are doing so far and just keep the ears taped a little longer. Good luck!
I am such a bad mom. I'd probably just keep it like this because it just looks soooooo cute! But thats just me. But you already got one up, they will both come up eventually if you keep up with the work, I am pretty sure.
