Skin problem? please help

Hi, i have a full breed bull terrier, He is 3 years old and i noticed for the past 2 weeks that he started scratching himself alot more often. I noticed some bumps on this back that were really itchy for him, then i noticed some red spots near his privets, any idea what this could be? skin condition , mites etc?
I am thinking about taking him to the vet but i dont want a run around with them giving me BS solution, thanks everyone for any help

Today I saw that he kept going on his back and scratching himself so I decided to buzz a little part to take a peak, I saw bright red skin and little holes like something is feeding on his skin!!! I ended up buzzing off his top off and his entire back is just riddled with it, I have no idea what it is but I made an apt with the vet tomorrow to see him, I’ll keep u guys updated, here’s a few pictures I took of the poor guy

is he on any flea prevention meds?

Had him go to the vet today, apparently the meds that I was giving both of them for flea prevention is no longer working on him.

They found a very small amount of fleas on him but the weird part was that he’s allergic to the fleas......even though there was a small amount of them, their bites was enough to effect his entire body and made him break out. The vet said she hasn’t seen a dog break out that bad as he did.

240$ later , they gave him steroids shot to counter the allergies, steroids pills to help him fight it off, a new flea medication, and a steroid cream that I have to apply after I bath him which I did first thing.


Little guy looked like he was in hell for 4 or 5 days, when I buzzed his top coat I was shocked at how bad it was, I felt like shit I let go on for so long. The Coat covers a lot



Anyways I hope this helps anyone else out there, apparently our bullies are allergic to flea bites
