Get aggressive when told off

So today Eric ate some of the sofa. I never shouted just pointed finger and said calmly ‘no’ and ‘that’s naughty’ I then went to get him off sofa when he bit my wrist then showed teeth and really growled at me. Then went to bite me again so I just stood and ignored him. He then calmed down straight away and has now started to sulk. However I’m the one who’s upset. Is this a puppy pushing his limit? Is he over aggressive? Is it me maybe being to stern and shouting when younger. He’s 9 months now. I must say I don’t like this behaviour at ALL.

He is pushing his limits to see how far he can go. I don't think he is over aggressive.
Vinnie was the same in his adolescent age. You should show him that you will not tolerate this behavior.

Check out my past post Crate aggression . We went thru this a couple of months ago and it was so stressful . They key for us in dealing with this was staying calm, being consistent as possible in our reactions to it , lots of exercise both mental and physical . It very rarely happens now .
