Morning all.

Just to ask if anyone has any tips as Eric loves to Pull when walking. Changed leads to a ROK strap so it’s a bit more elasticated. Just bought a HALTI Pull head strap. Hope this does something but he keeps trying to pull it off while walking. Plus it makes him look a bit scary as it looks like a muzzle which I really don’t like.

Hi there Bill.
We had the same problem until we bought a Halti chest harness and ditched the stretchy lead.
It is an instant cure and he is a lot more manageable and a pleasure to walk when out and about.

Are you using a choke chain or prong collar ?

We started with a Halti chest harness( attaches to a clip on the chest ) until Mackenzie learned to walk well on a leash .We now use a regular leash with a Martingale collar ( I use these collar's on all 3 of my dogs they are the best !!! ) Not a big fan of the prong collar can do some damage if used incorrectly and we tried the gentle leader which worked great but we had the same problem Mackenzie really hated it and spent a lot of time trying to get it off.

Bill, the Halti harness clips onto the ring on your dog collar and just a regular lead clips onto the chest ring on the harness.

Ok lovely. That’s all I need. Only I’d seen a YouTube video and they used double end lead.

You could use 2 leads if you wish.
We found that just one lead on the chest ring stops the pulling and gives plenty of control.

2nd the halti chest harness,
Both my boys use them when walking. Both also use the double snap leash that connects both to the back and to the chest.
They walk well with this set up nice, calm, attentive and.........................S Q U I R R E L !!!!!!!!
