Zeus - neutering

Zeus is nearly 7 months old and i have been informed not to neuter him until he start to lift his leg. other people told me to do it now. i feel he is still a pup and i need to wait. any advice. Karin

    This is a common thread I have a 7mth old and have no intentions of neutering him at all unless it's for medical reasons. What reasons are you neutering him for? If it's purely for behaviour issues from what I have read it has minimal effect and at worst can affect the growth of your dog if done too early.

    Never ever neuter your dog at 7 months unless it’s a medical reason

    I keep all of my males intact

    In my opinion to fix a 7 month old male would be a travesty

    They never reach their full potential and it is much harder for them to maintain lean muscle mass

    Imagine taking a 7 year old boy and removing his testicles ...... he would never mature correctly
