Nail Fungus

My six month old female has what the vet said nail fungus. She lifts her paw like she is in pain. My question is
1. What causes nail fungus?
2. Besides antibiotics and other medicines; is there a homeopathic cure for this problem? Epsom salts? neosporine?

I work with a podiatrist who reccomends vinegar for human fungal nail infections. Applied topically.
Could try that.

coconut oil worked for my mini. Worked quicker and was more effective than the wipes and antibiotics the vet prescribed.

I use vinegar with mothers in it....organic and diluted..i have no yeast issues..i learned this off this forum. Always rinse him after a bath with it, clean his ears with cotton ball with it.
