From puppy to adult

My layla girl will be a year old in a few short weeks and I'm looking for advice on when is the best time to switch from puppy to adult kibble. Also should we switch to twice a day feeding at that time? She currently eats three times a day. We are also thinking that we want to switch from TOTW to Acana. Is there anyone who feeds acana who can offer advice on which one they have had the best results with? Thank you guys in advance! Oh and of course the required picture of my Sunday helper!

Puppy food can be used at any time in a dogs life. The only difference between the puppy food and the adult food is the calorie intake. Puppies obviously burn off calories so quickly due to their growth and energy so they require a food high in protein with plenty of calories for growth. Many top quality foods like Victor or Taste of the Wild actually have all the nutritional value to appease both puppy and adult.

In short, if your Bull Terrier is still very active and needs to gain weight continue with the puppy food. Many people will continue with the puppy food until their Bull Terrier reaches full maturity which isn't until around 2 years old. Obviously each dog is different based on their genetics, exercise level, health, and every day activity. However, once you know she has peaked in her growth and maturity you can switch her to an adult food to balance off her diet and maintain ideal weight.
