Bully-proof fence

Help! We just bought a new house with a mid-size backyard which we want to fence to keep our dog safely enclosed but we have no idea what fence would be bullie-proof - that is, a fence our dog might be able to climb over or jump over. We fear we might be going overboard in getting a 6 ft vinyl which is ugly and expensive. We are afraid that a wooden fence with horizontal bars may enable him to hoist himself over the top. Any suggestions from you guys would be most appreciated (This is our first bull terrier). Nan

Bull Terriers aren't known to be jumpers. Most wouldn't attempt to jump over a 4' tall fence. However, I would still recommend a 6' tall privacy fence. Chain link fences are not escape proof and many Bull Terriers with find it easy to find or make their way.
