Bumps on shoulder
My little girl has had some bumps on her left shoulder the last couple weeks that look like mosquito bites but they are just raised bumps with little scaps on them. She does not itch or bite at them. We have a vet appointment scheduled but would like to see if any one has any ideas.

The other day I treated all my Bullies with K9 Advantix II. Within 24 hours one of my Bullies broke out in bumps on his back and both sides. I'm positive it was a reaction to the medication because I seen it happen before on a Bull Terrier years ago. This was the first time Bam Bam had this type of flea/tick preventative and it's obvious he doesn't react well to it.
Sometimes it's difficult to detect what may be causing an allergic reaction unless you can account for changes within the environment, food, supplements, shampoos, medications, etc. It's also very difficult for any Vet to pinpoint the root cause of an allergic reaction unless the dog is tested by a specialist. Most of the time owners are more prone to keep an eye on to ensure it doesn't get worse and as it slowly dissipates and goes away they forget about it until it surfaces again. Sometimes during the second outbreak they can often detect the cause based on recognizing a recent change. I had a Bullie years ago that used to get small hard red bumps like that when he ate chicken.
I wish there was an easy way of determining the cause of bumps like this by saying "Oh, that's poison ivy." Unfortunately it's not that easy with skin issues with a Bull Terrier because there can many things that are triggering the breakout all of which can cause the same form of red scabby bumps.

We've had allergies without bumps and bumps without allergies (ant bites).
Steve is so right - there are SO many possible triggers and factors.
Try to get something soothing that's NOT a steroid when you go to see the vet, if steroids are avoidable. And try to track changes within the time frame the bumps occurred. Take EVERYTHING into consideration:
- Food/ Treats
- Environment
- Cleaners and other house chemicals
- Pesticides
- Medication/ preventatives
- Detergents
... you get the gist. Keeping logs of things over a certain period of time sometimes helps to identify possible triggers.
