Exercise is great for their development and slow easy running on a threadmill can be moderated and timed. It would be good to get her used to it now vice when she's older, gets scared, and battles to get away from it. Go on at a slow walk and invite her on it with you. Once she's not fearing it she may very well enjoy going on it and it will be at that time you can set the time, speed, and duration for a good workout without overdoing it. It's the jumping around and horse playing that can cause injury with puppies who are fearless and prone to self injury. There are have been many puppies that have taken high leaps off tall beds or porches that end up in casts due to their craziness. The threadmill is made so each step has impact absorption which is not hard on the bones and joints.

Good info, thank you! Do I have to have a "dog treadmill" or will a regular one suffice? Also, do you hook them on in someway? How do you prevent them from flying off the back?, lol
