Car Sickness Maybe?

Maya has thrown up twice in the car on the way home from the airport. I'm thinking she may be carsick? I told my daughter to not give her any food until she settle down and make sure she has plenty of water. Any suggestions? My concern is that the girls are supposed to go to New Orleans for the weekend; leaving tonight. It's about a 6 hour drive and I'm wondering if that might not be such a good idea since Maya has already been traveling quite a bit today.

Car sickness wont kill a dog, just make them all drooly and puke. I wouldn't worry about it too much, if you need to take her with you tonight, just go ahead and do it.

With the travel it's common for a puppy to get a little sick to the stomach and vomit. She's not used to going on any car rides and many don't realize that for a puppy a car ride will give them more motion sickness than a plane ride if they aren't used to being in a car. Once she gets home she'll be fine and back to her normal self playing and having fun with everyone. Don't worry yourself about her. She will be fine.

Thanks Zerlett and Steve. Just got a text from Lizzie. They are home and Maya is all over the place...she chases her little tennis ball and then growls at it. Yeah...I think she'll be fine.

Update: Got the word this afternoon that Maya made the trip to New Orleans just fine last night. My daughter said she slept most of the way and slept thru the night last night. I think she was just exhausted from the flight and trip home from the airport. She slept in her little bed and even peed on her training pad. She loves her Royal Canin mixed with Blue Buffalo canned food.

All is well! Cannot wait to get home from Brazil to see her.

Yeah...she's getting the love treatment for sure! She nips at Lizzie's hair and ears! Speaking of ears. From these photos looks like Maya's are starting to stand up pretty well.
