Playful nipping and training on lead.

My Bull Terrier is 8 mos. old.  He is very friendly, good in the house, listens to me BUT when I have to take him for a walk he just pulls and pulls and if he sees oneone he is almost out of control.  The only time he does not listen is when I am walking him, he really is awful.  I'm at my wits end with this.  Anybody out there have this problem?  This is my 2nd EBT, my first one died of cancer.  I never had this problem with her.  Is there a difference with male and female? Thanks

That sounds very common for a 8 month old male (or female) Bullie. They have so much energy at that age!

What are using to to walk him? - Collar and leash, choke collar, harness, etc??

Have you tried a prone collar? Many have had great success with this collar and find it to be a lot less harmful to a strong willed dog that might be pulling hard and putting a lot of force on his throat.

  • I use this collar too I have my girl is nearly 7 months I got her at 5 months and came with lots of problems I resulted in using the prong collar due to her constant pulling and controling agression and it's helping I also have a 2 yr old female who has always pulled this had fantastic results but due to her being white she has had a skin problem under her neck as was left bald under the neck so I could no longer use it but I had full control when using it I now use cesar millan pack leader collar both work well .
