  • I've had similar issues with every puppy I've raised, not just Maya. 9 weeks is still so young for them to know any better. What worked best for me is show them who is boss. Pin them down until you can feel them relax, or sharply yell NO! They grow out of it eventually.
Lots of times when you're lying down on the same level, a dog will think you're playing. So make it clear that you are not.
That's great about the potty training, very quick!
  • lol I'm afraid this is par for the course with bull terriers. Quinn is my first, and when she was a baby she bit me so much and she sounded like she was being aggressive. I thought I had the worst dog ever. Turns out she was completely normal. ;) The majority of bull terriers seem to be very mouthy and it is your job to learn to chill them out, show them you're the boss and that that behavior is not okay. I tried various ways...but honestly I would recommend timeouts. Don't use the crate, a crate should be a safe place. When Rocko starts to bite, take him to another room or a section you have created with a baby gate. I put my dog in the bathroom until she was done being rude. Soon he will learn it's no fun to be away from the people because he is biting.
  • Just hang in there buddy, Rocco will work through this with alittle training and showing that's unacceptable.
