Weird?

Hi Bullie lovers. Wow so much has happened. My little girl broke her leg and had to get operation to insert pins and wires, 4 weeks later se rebroke the leg and had another operation 2 days ago to insert steel plate. Since the 2nd operation I noticed that she started pooping in her sleep. She is only 4 yrs old. It is only little nuggets but still, this can't be normal. I checked on the internet and all info says it happens due to old age but she is only 4. I take her out on regular potty breaks as she has to be on a leash for 6 weeks. Last night the sleep pooping happened like 20 Min after she pooped outside on her potty break. Any ideas or someone who had a similar experience? Any help would be appreciated.

My first thought would be the post/op medication.
Google whatever the vet put per on, and check to see if its the same as what was given after the 1st op
  • My girl broke her leg at 10 months. Took her to a specialist, they put in a steel plate, at least 5 screws, some pins and wire. She was sentenced to crate rest for at least two weeks, then was allowed walking only, NO jumping, running, playing or vigorous activity, for 6 weeks after that. Her total healing time was about 9 weeks. Please be sure to stick to no activity! It'll be worth it.

However, she never had any trouble with her bowels after the leg surgery. She did go in for something else she was sedated for, and that night she actually peed in her sleep once while she was laying with me on the couch (thanks) and once overnight. I contacted my vet and they said that sometimes happens within 24 hours of an operation, but it isn't normal for it to continue long afterward. If your bully is still experiencing loss of bowel control I would have her seen to make sure there's nothing wrong or get a second opinion.
