Pumpkin

After reading more about pumpkin, we decided to give it a try.  This has been the best thing so far to help firm up his poop.  The vet thought it was a great idea to help with fiber since he's on a grain-free diet.  We give him about a tablespoon once a day of the pureed canned pumpkin that we picked up at Whole Foods.  His nose gets orange from licking up every bit of it, he likes it so much.

  • We're on day 4 and it's been the firmest poops since he's been with us.  He walks 4 to 5 long walks a day, so we've seen a lot of poop, and we've all commented that the pumpkin has helped him.  We were changing foods, and Acana was working the best for him so far.  It's such an individual dog thing, so I know it's trial and error some (or most) of the time.

I'll keep updating, but so far it's helping.
