Attended my first dog show!

Yesterday I attended my first specialty bull terrier show!
I went there without Stoeger (shame on me!) so I could pay attention and learn! Lol I also went to get information about joining the bull terrier club of New England but instead I met members of another bull terrier club and they were AWeSOME and extremely forthcoming with knowledge and very welcoming! I can't believe I was apprehensive about attending!
The show dogs were gorgeous and I was in bully heaven. I met some amazing people.
Kim, your name came up too! I met amber Gibson out of Texas and she said she met you, I think, at silver wood? She judged early in the morning and it was a pleasure meeting her!

Even though Stoeger may not be at the same level (shhhh) or caliber as those dogs I'm looking forward to showing him anyway and enjoying the experience!

And another is sucked in! I love shows, and showing! I haven't come across anyone negative yet, and it's fun to see all the bullies stacked against each other. When I go some of the other people and I try to guess who's going to when. Most of the time in wrong, lol

I was totally wrong when I was trying to pick the winner! Lol but I was picking based on what was appealing to my eye not necessarily the best one lol. It was a learning experience and feel foolish for bein intimidated before!

I'm still intimidated when I go, because they know sooooo much compared to me. But at least they are willing to share! I very rarely get the winner right as well, for the same reasons as you, I pick by what I prefer, but the same goes for the judges. Some will win one day, another day they won't even place, it's all in their hands.

I plan on maye entering Stoeger in a Labor Day weekend show! Even if it goes terribly wrong, oh well! Lol

When i went to Silverwood, all I kept thinking sitting along the ring was

That's awesome that you went to the show.  What were the markings of the BT that is far left in the first picture?

Looks like a Black Brindle solid and he doesn't appear to be having very much fun.  :P

I believe she had a white blaze and chest too. I didn't see any solid black brindles. I can't remember the winner of this one. There were so many classes and I think two morning shows andan afternoon show. I think the first picture is of the puppy show. All the bullies were so crazy! The middle one, brindle and white, in the middle was VERy animated! Lol

I forgot to grab the program with all the names, and didn't meet all the dogs.

The whole time I was watching I was wishing I'd brought Stoeger and showed him just for fun, even not having any idea what to do.
There were minis too, I've never seen a miniature bull terrier and it totally looked like a pocket sized standard! Lol

I belive Amber Gibson was the Judge for that show, Amber was so excited when  they asked her to Judge, she deserved it too!

She judge, I think, the sweepstakes. It was her first and she said she loved it!! She was so nice and was willing to explain and answer all my questions!

Amber was  one of the first people who reached out to me with Bull Terrier's when I had my first Guinness, Her and Steve Sargeant (DrayDur Bull Terriers)

Helped me out tremendously!

Amber is also one of the people I bunked with down at Silver wood, and needless to say- she certianly made it one helluva fun time!

I had a real good time at Silverwood as well. I showed a friends dog but didn't show my own, it is less stressful for me that way. This is me showing Hugo (Jacqui's dog).
