Spinning
Hi I have a 6 month old female bull terrier. About three weeks ago she began spinning/chasing her tail. Within a few days the behavior got so bad that she would spin for up to ten hours at a time, unable to be distracted. Sometimes she catches her tail and will bite it or hold onto it in her mouth. So I took her to a behaviorist who has started her on 20 mg of Prozac, firm instructions to not punish my bt, and to enrich her environment. The issue has improved but she still has her triggers and the spinning can get pretty out of control. Has anyone else dealt with spinning in their bt and have more suggestions to make this behavior more manageable???
