Bull Terrier Bite/Teeth

I was wondering how common it is for a bullie to have a slightly overshot/undershot jaw vs the correct scissor bite?

It's not uncommon at all for a Bull Terrier to have an overbite or underbite. People always wish for a perfect scissors bite on almost every breed of dog. However, just like people, not all teeth are going to be perfect. I will tell you this, although the bite is an important attribute for showing, it is not as important as the look bone structure and conformation. Many would much rather see a Bull Terrier with a nice head over a correct bite. Some will even sacrifice a slight underbite for the look it profiles within the muzzle which will provide a larger look to the mouth. However, a bad overbite will do just the opposite and provide the dog with a smaller look and one that many don't like to see. When looking at the front of a dogs mouth it should appear large, not narrow or dropped back like the look of a shark. If the bottom jaw is forward and meets with the top it will present a nice thick look. Many Bull Terriers have slight overbites though. Many of them will still show due to their other attributes they offer that may over ride the non perfect bite. Again, although bite is always an importance, heavy concentration is aimed more towards the head and muzzle than the bite.
