Weight of male puppy at 9 months

My boy is going on 9 months soon and is only weighing in at 40lbs. His male siblings are all bigger than him at this point by 10lbs plus and his parents weighed in the 55-65lbs range. will he just be small or fill in soon? He gets 2 cups in the morning and 2 cups at night with plenty of tuna in the can and boiled chicken breasts. I am curious what other male puppies weighed at 9 months.

When you he gets to cups of food per serving what exactly are they cups of? There's a big difference in nutritional value of one food compared to another and the volume of food isn't what I look at for providing a well balanced diet.
Can you post of a couple recent photos of him so I can have a look at his structure and build. If you're feeding him twice a day with a good quality kibble and mixing in fish and meat there should no reason why he isn't reaching optimal weight. I think if you start calculating his actual protein intake you should be able to know for sure if he's receiving proper amounts that will be beneficial for adding proper muscle mass and weight.

He is on nutrisource but I may switch him to fromm. He doesnt eat all his food and leaves alot unless he is super hungry so I mix in chicken, tuna, turkey, ham etc. How many cans of tuna should I give him and how many grams of protein should he be getting for his age? I will take some new pics and post.

I don't feed my Bullies Tuna often at all. I prefer Raw meats. Have you tried any weight gain recipes?

What are some good weight gaining recipes to supplement with his food? He is such a picky eater and normally just eats the chicken or tuna and not his dog food even when I mix it in. Working on pics my blackberry is junk sorry for the delay on them.
