I'm sure she wanted to eat him after a couple lil' licks to the bunnies forehead, but she is really well behaved as far as my commands in home go. I can leave food on the floor and she'll leave it be until I tell her it's ok. She'll circle it, or sit shaking, but she won't touch it! Jelly Bean on the other hand would eat both the bunny and the food in a split second!
Hahaha! Cookie and Jelly Bean don't eat to fast, but my pug does. I honestly don't think he breathes when he eats. But if you really are concerned with how fast he eats, they make these bowls that slow them down a wee bit.

I'll be throwing a few rabbits in the freezer for Stoeger to dine on this winter
Once he gets a taste for 'em, I don't think the same interaction Cookie is displaying will be possible.
On a serious note, Boyda, your girl is bulli-ful And so well behaved!
We're working on Stoeger's patience when it comes to eating.
He is so ravenous though!!!
I tell him that when we're petting him while he eats, we rub his neck and head. We put our hand in his bowl.
No food aggression but he eats so fast it can't be good for him
