How to stop tail spinning?

I have noticed my 6 month old Bully has become interested in chasing his tail lately. I have checked with the breeder about it being neurological or ocd since i was very concerned and have read countless articles on how severe it can get. She told me it sounds like he has to much energy and is just hyper since none of his bloodlines had ocd and neither do any of his brothers in the same litter. When he spins what is the best way to stop him? I have put bitter apple on his tail and make him wear the thunder shirt which has cut back on the chasing dramatically but he still does it on occasions and I want to try to stop it all together. I noticed he chases his tail for a few minutes the most in confined areas like if he follows me in the bathroom, before he needs a nap, or when I put him in his car carrier and as soon as I let him out. He responds to me when chasing his tail and I can make him stop with a loud noise or by giving him a good treat. Thanks
