Chimera nearing 6 months old
My little Chimera is growing up! shes still so itty bitty though im amazed to tell you she already weighs 30 pounds O.O
when i weighed her i could beilive it from holding her but to look at her i cannot as she is only 15 inches at the withers and 14 inches long from base of nek to base of tail. Shes going to be 6 months old on DEC 11th.
She isnt exactly what i had expected, but i must admitt i am glad to have her and am loving her personality. i was expecting a more laid back bully, like Cesar, a bit more on the lazy side but shes all drive! shes extremly easy to motivate and i her focus is AMAZING! i want so badly to get her into a sport of some kind, i think she would excell at Lure coarseing. i am unable to use a simple flirt pole with her right now as she is so driven to have it she screams and cries while running full speed and jumping in the air to grab it im afraid she will hurt herself.
heres some pictures of her

he had 4 males and 5 females, Maggy Chimeras mom has gone to mexico to become a show dog down there.
some of his females are bit on the thinner side, but he has produced some amazing dogs, heres a few i think are great. Chimera' grandpa on moms side Chimera's aunty Maya a female named jupiter, who is related thru Chimeras grandpa (the white male above) i got to meet this male, king, this picture is of him at 4 months, he is MASSIVE! but oh so sweet. also got to meet this boy at 6 months old he was larger then Cesar and very hyper and playful! he wanted to play with Chimera so bad but she was smaller then his foot so i didnt put her down lol the male above pictured with the breeders son is from one of his females that he produced Koketa and i beilive the father was from kilacabar? ill have to ask again i do not recall.
Kilacabar have been breeding for many years. They are from England and had many reputable international champions.

Danielle, are you talking about Kilacabar or Kenendai? I don't recall Kilacabar ever placing adds on Puppy Find. Plus puppies from Kilacabar are a lot more than $2000. Actually more than $3500 with shipping. As a matter of fact any good quality EBT from UK will cost more than $3000.
Heck I remember when Bullies By God was charging from $2500 - $3500 for a puppy that didn't have any reputable pedigree. It's not rare at all to see a Bull Terrier selling for $2000 and I don't know of one reputable breeder that would sell a puppy with full registration rights unless they knew the people, knew their intent, trusted their future intentions, and charged additional funds for full rights. Even after all this has been contracted many still demand co-ownership for the sole purpose of gaining further financial entitlements through future litters from puppies produced from the puppy they sold. It's like a pyramid scheme. Take a guess which club is adamant about this practice?

yes, kenandai sold the brindle male to aegean and refused to sell any more pups to them because aegean refuses to acknowledge Kenandai in the line.
Carlos refused to sell pups with papers? i find that extremly hard to belive as i have found many buyers from him for pet quality only (limited reg) all of them had nothing but good things to say about him and there dogs are registerd ,not full rights however but limited.
we talked about it and he sold Chimera to me as limited, if however she developes nicely he said we would talk about changing to full rights. im fine with this, i want to let him know im not out to just breed a dog for profits and IF Chimera should be breeding potential (shes going to have all of her health tests done on her 2 year mark) im going to disscuss the possibilities with Carlos and have him help me along the way.
And the brindle from Kenandai was "Tiny" not "Benny" tiny has been retierd they say on the Aegean website
Tinys mother "tell me la dona" was from Kenandai while i cannot copy the photo heres a link to her picture, she reminds me alot of your Ellie, Zerlett in the face http://www.flickr.com/photos/tellmebulls/3736074530/
So far her temperment is excellent, but we shall see what puberty holds, her bite is a nice scissors bite. but theres still a year and a half wait to see how she develops and how her health is, so far NO signs of skin issues, And, even if after all of that passes, i still need the OK from Carlos and a good opinion of her from him.
But, even if she doesnt turn out to anything more then a pet, im cool with that, shes great and i adore her. if any of her health tests are poor shes gonna be spayed.
No matter what, everybody will have their own opinions about a particular breeder, the look of their dogs, the pedigree and bloodlines they're developing, and the way they advertise.
There's been countless photos of Bull Terriers I've seen that haven't impressed me in the least in regard to the qualities I like to see. However, the owner might think they have the best looking EBT in the world. The only thing that really matters is what the owner perceives of their dog. At eight weeks of age it isn't difficult for me to determine whether a puppy will develop into an impressive adult or not. Even if I see a young Bull Terrier with a slender build, small head, and long skinny muzzle I'll still compliment their Bullie by saying he or she looks nice. Nobody wants to hear negative things said about their puppy and as easy as it would be to point out fault it's not the professional thing to do.
I actually like how Kenendai puts out a slogan saying "Simply the Best." To me it shows confidence and pride. It's obviously an opinion by the breeder but there's no harm in that. We do the same thing with slogans saying "Breeders of the Finest Bull Terriers in the Country." That's our opinion also.
We often are visited by very picky and particular people who are conducting extensive research in their pursuit for the proper Bull Terrier puppy. It amazes me how far people will travel to ensure they find the right puppy that meets their criteria. I find it to be a good feeling when someone that's visited many of the popular kennels here in our country commit to purchase a puppy from us after an extensive face to face comparison.
99% of those looking for a Bull Terrier are wanting a healthy puppy from a reputable breeder that has a reputation through AKC for breeding quality EBT's that meet the breed standards. There are many out their that fall into this category. It's up to owner then to find a breeder they feel the most comfortable with that has the qualities that matter to them the most.
If everybody shared the same opinions we'd all be driving the same exact car painted the same color.

I often get phone calls and emails that look just like this - "I'm looking for the Best possible Bull Terrier puppy for our family, can you tell us about Your puppies?" Trust me, my answer wouldn't be "Sorry, you called the wrong number."
My wife has a couple dinner recipes that are the absolute best I've ever eaten. During the times I've brought left overs to work to eat during lunch and people as "What are you eating?" I'll answer them with the truth - "I'm eating the best chicken wings you'll ever find!" I mean it when I say it because it's my opinion.
As a Marine for 21 years a day didn't go by that we didn't reminded that we were the best fighting force in the world. As an American, I often here that we live in the Best country in the world. Although these are all opinions (which most realize), they are all statements of pride. I also tell my daughter she's the prettiest girl in the world to me. I mean it too.
Today I might be going out to lunch to a restaurant that claims to have the BEST hamburgers ever!
PRIDE - It's all around us. Some have it, some don't.

Chimera will fill out great in time, my friends bull terrier is about 8 months old and normally think and lanky like a pole we have recently noticed a body developing in her, she's getting a nice spring of rib now and putting on weight instead of looking like a greyhound. Many breeders will never change their views and continue to just put excess weight on their dogs to try to put "bone and substance" on a dog and its just silly, and they just end up looking terribly obese. I saw that on the dog show on turkey day, one of the bull terriers looked like a blimp and I was horrified.
Most all Bull Terriers go through a lanky stage until they hit about 14 months. That's about the time they start filling out and develop some mass. Cyra was a skinny thing when she was young and all of a sudden she just started filling out. Now when people see her during a visit I often hear them comment on her by calling her a "He." I guess she could pass for a male due to her size but she's got a loving and mellow personality that I really love.
I'm with you Danielle - I do not like seeing fat Bullies.

Her father, im told was a slow developer and Carlos was unsure if he was going to keep him as breeder untill he was much much older because he was not sure if he would fill out. Chimeras brother is getting the head on him andlooks identical to the mom, Chimera and her other brother are deveoping more slowly and look alot like daddy so im thinking she is going to be a slow developer like dad's side
I would get more pics, my camera is going to hell real fast, i think due to the sheer amount of pictures i always take, not to mention, its cheap HAHA!
Do have video though

"2 year sentence" - That's funny! But very true. That's about how long it takes for some bullies to lose their puppy antics and bad habits. I don't know what it is about Bull Terriers but it seems like once they hit about 2 years of age they just settle down and start becoming more obedient. It's about that time I can also start leaving my shoes and slippers on the ground without worrying about them being chewed up!

So far im Lucky, neither Cesar nor Chimera have been real big on destroying things around the house, Chimera quit trying to chew on random things when she was like 3 months old and was able to be let free to roam the house on her own without an issue.
Cesar was a butt hole till he was a few months from his 2nd birthday. He even went thru a faze where he showed food aggression towards people and would snap at my mom and nephew while he was eating, and now i trust him around lil babies with food or bottles as he so mild mannerd over food now and so chill he eats slowly and relaxed and will bring his raw meat to people, and set it down at there feet and become sweet and wiggly for lovins.
1 teaspoon of peroxide per 10 poiunds of body weight, give one dose and encourage them to drink water as water mixed helps it foam up and cause vomiting, also encourage them to run around a bit, maybe even roll on there backs to mix it up and cause it to foam up to cause the puking, if theres no vomitting iwthin 15 minutes give a second dose.
i have found if the dog does not vomit right away and does not drink any water to force them to drink some water useing an eye dropper as the foaming is really what causeing them to puke, or mixing it with water before giving it..
Wanted to post a few christmas pics i took tonight, you can see how thick Chimeras chest is getting
