Poop Eating?

Does anyone have any advice on the poop eating? My husband insists that she will also be doing that her whole life. I certainly think if I can get the spinning under control that I should be able to break her of that as well.
Has anyone ever had a puppy or dog that did this? I never have. I heard that stuff you get from the vet is expensive and for the most part relatively ineffective.

I keep her on the leash when I take her out to prevent her from eating it. However, if someone isn't as diligent picking it up she sometimes grabs it, yuk. I have sprayed the bitter apple in her mouth when she does it I haven't sprayed it on the poop because I always pick it up right away.
The shock collar may work, but when I used it for the spinning it seemed she was getting used to the shock and it was actually becoming more ineffective. I haven't used it in awhile so maybe that could work. Been reading up on it and hopefully she will outgrow it. Regardless, I need to prevent it as much as I can.
Ya, that might make her think twice before doing it again.
Some Vets will say dogs do it because they lack certain vitamins in their diet. Personally I don't beleive that's correct. She just needs to be trained not to do it and realize if she does she's going to get herself in trouble.

I never feed my dogs together, they get fed at a certain time at night in a crate and never get fed together, my dogs most definitely would fight over food, or bones.
For now, I am just diverting her attention from the poop not giving her a chance to show interest. I am sort of hesitant to punish her too much because of her trust issues or lack thereof. Unfortunately, I saw the post on the Beneful and my son just bought that for his dog! Oh no!
