The Dog Show
So I decided not to take Ellie. At the show the venue was terribly crowded,
too small, dogs were side by side or only feet apart, it seemed like
people and dogs were on top of each other. A lady walking with a
dachshund decides to lift it in front of our dogs while passing, Dozer
jumps up on the lady to make sniff with the dog, which of course we
didn't mean, its just too crowded. The woman shreaked so loud "NOOOO!!!
GOD DAMMIT!

" And I start laughing, it was
so ridiculous. Clutching her little dog, it was as if she was thinking
she narrowly escaped her dog being mauled. The woman says to me "IT IS
NOT FUNNY!" And I reply back "you are being dramatic, it is not our
fault the venue is too small!!" We laughed about it the rest of the day.
The judge and the breed steward were so
amazingly helpful, I admittedly went in saying "im new and clueless" and
they were awesome. The judge took time during the show to correct me
and give me tips, it was such a wonderful experience!! The steward helped me switch arm bands with a quickness because i was a little slow!
Claxxton ended up winning Best of Breed against Dozer, which honestly surprised me, because I thought Dozer was the better example. I wanted Dozer to win because I produced Dozer and I would have been so proud, in a specialty show (only bull terriers against each other with bull terrier specialist judges) I think Dozer would always win, they appreciate the extreme size and heads more, are more forgiving towards faults specific to the breed. I think it came down more to behavior, Claxxton was very calm and showed beautifully! Dozer is very hyper and still a big goof. In the end it was a ton of fun, I bought some more show supplies, and we look forward to the show in march! Were hoping with our group, we should have 6 bullies showing, 4 whites and two coloreds! We are already planning for it. Enjoy the pics, some are dark!

Way to go Claxxton! You should have rewarded him by letting him snack on that womans Dachshund. )
For such a crowded show I'm shocked you were the only one with a Bull Terrier.
