Noticed some white "things" in Maya's stool this morning. I'm assuming they are worms. Kind of perplexing since she gets Trifexis monthly. So, do I deworm her and, if so, what's the best to use?
Tape worms theirs white and when they dry up and die they look like rice. Go to your vet and get a worm pill for tape worms she should be rid of them in a few days

They will be live in the fresh stool. White long thin nastyness. An otc worm pill won't be as stong but should work. My old pitty use to get these from snacking on the cats fresh kill.

Just gave her the OTC medication. Made sure it contained praziquantel. According to my cursory research that is the best medication for treatment of tapeworms. The product is: D-Worm Broad Spectrum.
We'll see what happens. I'll take her to the vet on Tuesday.
