Sometimes there are dogs that can get a little finicky about the foods they’re provided especially if they were used to eating a cheaper food that attracted their taste buds more than a food that’s better suited for their health. I guess you could say it’s a little like having a child eat a dinner that consisted of fish and salad vice McDonalds Cheeseburger and fries. I know a couple of my Bull Terriers won’t gulp down a bowl of Blue Buffalo if that’s all that’s in the bowl. I usually like to mix the dry food with some canned food which always gets them to want to eat all their food. I also put two squirts of Grizzly oil in their food as well which they really enjoy. So I guess what I’m saying is to try and provide a little more than just dry food. You may even want to try switching from Blue Buffalo to Taste of the Wild (Pacific/Salmon flavor) which the dogs have a tendency to like the taste of better than other foods. Additionally, if your puppy is losing her baby teeth she may be going through a time frame where eating is a little more difficult and uncomfortable. My recommendation would be to add some canned food, raw meat, or gravy to your puppy’s food so she’ll want to eat it all. If you find that her appetite does not increase than switch to Taste of the Wild.

  • Here my only other optionIs wellness, they have one just for puppys, I will try it. I was reading about the raw recipe, what do you think? Is that an option in this case?

Yes, many are firm beleivers that raw meat diets are the best way to go. I think they're excellent. However, I still like to provide my dogs with a mixture of both. However, there are some people who feed their dogs nothing but raw meat diet and their dogs do good on it.

That's really great to hear! Give her about 30 days and you'll see a big difference in her weight, size, energy, and health. I put almost 10 pounds of muscle mass on Maximus when he was about 14 months old from those Raw Meat balls I gave him twice a day.
