Lucian x Cyra
BulliesofNC
Richlands, NC
OK two months ago we annotated Cyra to give birth August 10th due to her first scheduled mating. So last night around midnight she must have said it's the 10th and her bag broke. Somewhere around 6:30 this morning when the sun was coming up she was done with her 6th and last puppy. Is it me or does every Bull Terrier give birth in the middle of the night. I must admit though, the first puppy that came out stole my heart and time stopped. As a matter of fact I've decided to keep her as well as Boy 1. =D>

Well, you know I looked forward to adding Lucians bloodlines to my breeding program for a long time. I had intentions of retaining a Female no matter what. I was truly hoping to see a Red and White female puppy but for some reason I've been having no luck with Red and Whites. However, when I saw the first puppy come out with doube eye patches perfectly symetrical I was in love. My wife and I were talking about retiring Maximus next year from stud service and last month we retired Buck. Boy 1 has such cool markings we couldn't resist. We already named him "Bullies of NC's Vader Gunzz." Haven't come up with a name for the girl yet. It's hard picking names. That girl weighed 15 ounces at birth too.

Lucians eyes are actually dark. I really can't pick any faults with Lucian. For a Bull Terrier that's been shown 4 times and received 1st at each I'm pretty confident he's got desirable attributes. I love his head too with solid cheekbones and a thick muzzle - just the way I like them.

Thanks Danielle. Actually there was 6 puppies in total from this litter that I wished I could have kept! :P
I'm surprised by their current weights and heights. These guys are big for their age.
That female I kept with the semitrical double eyes is named "Bullies of NC's Double Deuce Dakota." I think she's going to look real nice. The shape of her head and muzzle is super nice.
