No Steve. I've been trying to follow vet or homeopath advice topical solutions. I can run it by the homeopath but she'll most likely want me sticking to her AB/fungal spray.
The pics of his vet visit two weeks ago were just after fresh wound cleaning prodding, so it looks horrific at the time but was happy to be done. They are now drying but its a false positive. All blood work indicates good.
Only until he ceases AB do we get a true indication how he is internally doing. So far haven't nailed it.
Customs haven't cleared the Glacier immunity products the homeopath suggested to try🙄
As I said, we are enjoying the good days. He has energy and is a lot happier 😊
I can understand them wanting to stick to a certain regiment. However, based on minimal progress with the open wounds and sores on the face I don't think it would hurt at all to simply rub in a little desitin ointment on one spot to see if it works better than the spray. I'm confident it will have quick results that will trump the fungal spray.

He has relapsed again. Has infected anal glands pussy n bloody. Spots resurfacing. Obviously the diet isn't right? More veg 40% at least is advised. He isn't eating as much lately. Well his bottom wouldn't help either. Stools mucousy. Needs worming even if I dont see any. Getting homeopath natural tonic.
Had oxygen orally whilst at the vet too. On more AB for six weeks🙄 can't afford him to slide totally backwards but this is not good I know. What can I do🤷♀️
Poor guy probably has the worst allergy issues I've heard of. I've never seen a Bull Terrier that couldn't be treated or corrected from skin and allergy issues.

I'm lost as to updating with no good news unfortunately.
Memphis's infection has resurfaced (well it never goes away unless on AB). We have no remedy that is keeping him well enough to maintain a functioning immune system. And yes this constant life line of AB is doing him no good but maintaining a breathing dog for me. I do struggle with "am I doing this for me or for him? For another day of beach play, for one another physical support n love?"
I will be honest in saying I dreamt the night before my vet visit, I lost hold of him and he crossed the road and walked with Moose💞
The attached pic is from the vet visit on Tuesday. He is smothered with rose Bengal for skin infections. Is on glacier immune gold from homeopath. 6 tab (AB plus antiinflammatory Chinese supp) am and pm. Two week then vet revisit. Bloods showed elevated infection on Tuesday.🙏
It's unfortunate and sad his infection keeps resurfacing and the vet can't figure out the cause of the infection. I feel so bad for you and Memphis. I hope it turns around for the better and Memphis gets well soon 🙏
That medication your putting on him certainly emphasizes the effected areas. But looking past the bright violet colored medication he doesn't look horrible. I know you're at wits end with all the Vet visits, tests, and medications. I've had many Bull Terriers vendered to me for the same issues and the owners gave up on the dog. Handing their Bull Terrier over to me was most likely a choice they felt better about vice euthanasia. When I've received a dog like this what happens during the first week is they normally get a lot worse. The reason is because they are in a completely new environment and their stress level and anxiety jumps up thus compromising their immune system worse than it already is. Additionally, I stop all medications immediately regardless what they are on and what I've been told is helpful. My concentration starts with a consistent and steady well balanced diet. I never anticipate immediate results. Added to a good diet I put the dog on a daily exercise regime that truly works their cardio and tires the dog. If it's a high energy dog (which it usually is) I commit to multiple exercise regimes per day. Yes, I start off slow and work up to what I know the dog can handle. Early mornings and evenings are best. Exercise is the best medication for relieving stress. It's effective for people too. The biggest problem with explaining to someone that their dog needs exercise is that everybody's idea of exercise varies. Walking a dog a few times a day or letting out in the backyard to run around and use the bathroom is not exercise. I'll throw a ball with the dog and let the sprint. With a conditioned Bull Terrier I'll put a harness on them and allow them to drag a tire to help build muscle. In the event the particular Bull Terrier has no interest in chasing a ball than I'll run with them. If the dog owner's physical condition prevents them from running long enough to provide a workout for their dog they can purchase a long retractable lead and walk the dog a good distance. A better alternative would be to post an add on social media or somewhere else locally searching for a runner that may like to earn a few dollars by taking your dog with them while they hit the pavement for a jog. A dog with a weak immunity desperately requires exercise. Medications only provide temporary relief and often compromise the immune system making the issue worse as time goes on. Sadly, Vets fails to mention this and will happily test out as many meds as your willing to experiment with and pay for. It just never ends and the dog suffers as the meds often cause more damage than good.
Once the dog gets into a daily routing of good food and plenty of exercise than all it needs is love and attention to keep it happy and content. For me, this takes a while because our relation is new and he or she needs to develop a good bond and feel comfortable with their new surroundings and the people in its life. So my goal is provide excitement and fun while giving them the exercise they need.
I understand that many people cannot commit to this kind of attention with a dog and be able to maintain it. On a good note, once the immune system strengthens and I start seeing results, the condition of the dog dramatically improves and it improves quickly. From that point on all I need to do is remain consistent with the food and allow the dog to exert energy daily. It's at that time the dog normally looks good and people looking to adopt have interest in the dog. If they have a active lifestyle they'll likely do great with the dog.
I apologize for such a long response to you post. My methods may not be perfect for everyone but based on how many dogs I've rescued and fostered with allergies and skin issues I know it works for me. This is why you'll rarely ever see me posting about some miracle cure medication. I'm more prone to investing time and energy into natural things that work. People can rant about how great their diet pills and meds worked in conjunction with liposuction while I rant about eating right and exercising. The best thing about dogs is they aim to please their owner and will follow your lead. I wish you lived closer. I'd love to take him from you for a few weeks. Your Vet would be mad because I'd toss all his meds in the trash and start over fresh. - Victor (Yukon River) dog food, NuVet Supplement, Desitin ointment for his skin lesions and rashes, daily exercise, and lots of love.

Loved reading and boy if I was closer I'd be visiting you first hand!
You know deep down I am against vet medications but as you've read many a times, leaving his body on just diet n exercise has not worked and I'm dealing with a near dead dog. Frustrating as I've always steered cleared big pharma. Hard to believe when reading all previous posts on AB but from the get go, I've tried ever so hard to do natural.
Yes I should up the exercise as he is a stressed dog without Moose. Very lost when I'm not around too. This is a huge impact on his immune system.
I am not in the position of bringing another dog due to financial and home circumstances and time needed should another be of I'll health. This is negative but I'm looking at both possibilities here.
I don't think this diet of pork and veggies (40%) advised is working either but I've changed this many times. His appetite isnt great either on AB. Very risky in changing so often. I don't know what is working and what isnt, especially pumped up falsely on AB.
Memphis had an ECG which showed an abnormality to keep a check on. He trembles so much so it was hard to do. This may explain his exhaustion which has happened recently too. Vet said long infection can hinder the heart but so too medication.
He has natural heart supplement and I was advised to incorporate some pork offal.
Due back in two weeks.
He is looking a lot better however he is very hard to get weight on. Not very interested in eating more.
Thankyou Tina for your heart felt words. I couldn't post a reply.
Upon Saturday vet visit for new AB in which I gave him and he threw up.... I made my decision (and from a friends advice) to go cold turkey and cease all meds/supps/veg and feed meat only, Celtic salt in drinking water, ocean washes and urine therapy (topically and orally)
It has been rough. His skin is purging badly. He couldn't walk on one leg either. But he has since come good! He is swimming, only very short play swim and is so happy on the beach. You wouldn't know he is ill. Just happy and forgets all the bad.
Today I went to the vet to inform her of my new going forth. She understands she cannot do anymore. We shaved some more hair off as it is easier for me to clean, assess. I declined a shampooing there as I wanted the sea wash for him. He looks a bit rough but I get tail wags, talking and normal Memphis behavior 😉 oh his appetite is back also hooray we can work on his weight👏
It is up to Memphis now, if he can revert his body back to health. It is looking good thankfully. My sister and another friend are also doing remote energy healing for him.
We are so blessed to share more moments together🙏
Im adding onto this from today 5/11
He is doing great today! We had a longer walk and his skin is improving massively. He is so happy now.
The poor guy gets so much love and attention. He doesn't deserve to be suffering with any issues. I pray his health will improve and all the skin issues will dissipate.
- Steve Gogulski "It's not just a Dog, it's a Bull Terrier!" www.bulliesofnc.com
He struggled today with exhaustion. Hoping to get his swim in tomorrow so I can tackle and clean his wounds. It really helps to loosen and heal with the salt water.
I thought I stuffed up by giving him some lamb necks but it hasn't reverse🤔 Day by day trying to keep positive as it can swing back just as quick as it sets in🙏
I'm so sorry Sarah, It breaks my heart that he keeps slipping back. I hope Memphis pulls through. I know you're keeping him comfortable and giving him tons of love. Prayering for Memphis
That pour guy. I feel so bad for him as well as you for trying so hard to heal him and improve his health. I honestly think his immune system is so weak that it simply can't function strong enough to sustain him from having serious skin issues and allergies.
- Steve Gogulski "It's not just a Dog, it's a Bull Terrier!" www.bulliesofnc.com
Hi, I was looking at Memphis sores that he has. My EBT Buster had sores like that but not nearly so severe. After trying many things we found out that beef pork or any type of raw hide chews caused it. It took about a month for them to start disappearing. Later we tried giving him rawhide again they came back again. We haven't given him any more since. I know they sometimes spray farm animals with insecticides to keep the flys off of them that maybe the cause. Hope Memphis heals up soon.
Since last time. I decided to just let him have his last happy days med free. I gave up on pumping him with everything. I went to my vet to just get natural pain relief. Then she poured out her soul to help him one more time. To hospitalize him, iv saline, baths and new diet all for free! I was compelled to hand him over to her. I was not to visit to cause undue stress.
After the first week I was allowed to visit. This was two days prior to Xmas. I got to walk him and cuddle. My daughter saw him the next day very happy boy. Then came our nightmare!
My vet on Xmas day fed him in the front yard, went to take a photo for me and he took the opportunity and jumped the fence🤯 They are on a busy main 6 lane road. He was gone. I got there 8pm along with my daughter. We searched till 3am and nothing. He was sighted in a car accident and near factory's in another suburb. Omg it was so hard, searching, calling and all the worry racing in our heads. Came back 5.30am and searched frantically. It was a 40° boxing day here.. There was a large FB following and volunteers looking. Searched bushland but you cannot know where or if he was alive. Nothing the whole day, night.
I slept in the next morning and as I hot there my daughter received the msg they got him! My vet intersected with him and another man helped to catch him...oh what a relief🙏
We fed him, xrayed him, blood work etc. Stayed the whole day and bathed him. He had severe limp, no breaks, bad cuts, pads damaged and bad staph infection resurfaced.
I brought him home and I am doing iv four hourly twice per week at the vet. He isnt stressed and I do the baths.
He had his second beach walk as his limp has gone but his skin is day by day. He eats better on turkey and only has natural supps. Still trying to keep medication away if we are to have any chance of improving his immunity.
There is no stress upon walking with traffic etc. I can still leave him off leash and he is stick happy.
Sorry I haven't been on but I understand everyone has challenging times.
Geez, you're having to go through so much with him. He's a tough case to handle between his medical issues and having him escape only adds to all the stress for both him and you.
- Steve Gogulski "It's not just a Dog, it's a Bull Terrier!" www.bulliesofnc.com
Oh yes Steve but we're hanging on day by day. My next biggie is moving to land in the not so distant future.
I believe he will thrive🙏 he was born on land. Snake's will be the concern but I will arm myself with knowledge and of course enclosure for not escaping or mischievous bully excitement😉
First I have to get this infection under control. Still no medication so it may take longer but I'm prepared to keep going🥰
I am so sorry to have caught up and still see Memphis in such poor condition. I pray you have some way to get through all of this terrible health issue. Letting a soul go is hard on all of us. A virtual hug is all I can muster up Sarah.
Presently Memphis is well. His walks are shorter and more exhausting for him still. He wants to run on the beach but I'm refraining him from the water till we get a more steady ✔️ with his infection. Will be doing iv once only next week and hope he doesn't decline. The daily washes are maintaining the infection but I really don't like the use of this for so long now but I dont have a choice 🤷♀️
He is such a good patient boy.
Let's be hopeful he will improve and come with me for my new home on land where sticks are abundant💙

Hello all
My previous update I now see didn't upload.
Memphis is sadly declining. Every day now is a blessing.
Sadly I have decided not to fall back on reviving him on iv, meds etc. with no plan B. It is physically, emotionally too hard for me😥
Whatever I can enjoy with him I will cherish. He managed a little swim to my surprise. I wish I could have better news🙏
