Personally I feel it's better to be proactive with tape training vice crossing your fingers and hoping the ears will develop correctly. Tape training is painless for your pup and easy to accomplish.

Just to update the situation with our BTs ear seeng he is right at 1 year old. As I stated earlier, one ear went up on its own at about 4 1/2 months old. His other ear, oh well. Before him I would have said they will all go up eventually, but......... We have now had him to 3 different vets, have given him every supplement you can imagine, ear massage, taped till we are blue in the face and everything else you can imagine. One time it was up about 2-3 weeks, then
down. It will go up for days and then down . We have finally resigned ourselves to the fact that it will do what it wants. Oh yeah, the breeder is only about 25 miles away and he said “let me have him for a few days, I will get it to stand” After a few days we picked him up and the breeder said “ I am so sorry bout this but I have never heard of this happening before. There is a point when the cartilage is finally set in place. Taping only trains the ears while the setting happens. Once they are set, there is nothing left to do. With the exception of pinning them surgically. Your Bullie is beautiful. Don't get hung up on the ear not popping up. It gives character and I'm sure he is a wonderful dog either way. No person, animal or plant is perfect. We all have flaws. Embrace it.
